Abstract:

A refinement of Cauchy's bound

$$\vert z\vert < 1 + \max_{0\leq k \leq n-1} \vert a_k\vert$$

for the moduli of all the zeros of the polynomial

$$z^n + a_{n-1}z^{n-1} + a_{n-2}z^{n-2} + \hdots + a_0$$

has been obtained.
